Save Our Main Street

Several of our historic Main Street buildings are in desperate need of repair and upkeep. We realize that in order to save these buildings, and subsequently the surrounding buildings, we must act now — starting with the variety store building.

Why save these Main Street buildings?

They're our greatest asset.

These buildings provide the greatest opportunity to bring in new business and fuel our local retail economy. They represent an important part of our history and connect our past to our future.

We cannot afford to lose them.

If we lose the buildings, we lose the hope of the community, we lose the small town charm, and we lose some of the last remaining parts of our history. Once they're gone, our town may never recover from the damaging effect.

The timing is right.

Now more than ever, people want a small town, ‘Hallmark movie’ type of experience. They want to shop on a historic main street and experience a little piece of Americana, where our people and our values help ground them and connect them to their roots. At a time where people are looking to shop local and support local businesses, let’s make this the place they want to come to.
